Plans for an eight-story apartment complex at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 1215 Bordeaux Drive site are scheduled to be reviewed by Sunnyvale’s Planning Commission. The 265-unit apartment complex would also contain over 1,600 square feet of ground-floor retail space, along with on-site parking for cars and bicycles. Residential amenities would include two podium-top courtyards and open-deck amenities, such as a pool, outdoor kitchenette, central fire pit, and seating areas.

Plans were approved for an eight-story, 128-unit apartment complex at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 668 East Third Avenue in San Mateo. The project will replace an existing strip mall, and of the 128 units, 20 will be affordable. Permits were filed to begin the demolition of an existing building and parking lot to make way for the two-building, five-story residential development at 1708 Harmon Street in Berkeley, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. Each building will contain 40 units, and of the 80 units, 79 will be affordable, with the final unit being used for the complex’s manager. An application was submitted to modify an existing three-story mixed-use building at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 4758 Mission Street site in San Francisco. These modifications would include the construction of four new residential units, which would be accessible through the rear yard. Other improvements would consist of renovations to the basement and first-floor commercial space that would allow for the addition of new residential units, along with upgrades to the remaining commercial space.
Zoning adjustments were made for the planned eight-story mixed-use development at 2449 Dwight Way in Berkeley, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The building’s proximity to UC Berkeley would make these future apartments ideal for students and university staff.

Permits were filed for the eight-story, 68-unit UC Berkeley student housing development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 2455 Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley, currently the home of the Amoeba Record Store. Of the complex’s 68 apartments, 7 will be affordable, and the building’s iconic People’s Park Mural will be preserved. Moreover, the Amoeba Record Store itself would still exist at the site, taking up the building’s ground-floor retail space.
