A groundbreaking ceremony was held last week for the six-story, 75-unit affordable housing development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 2700 International Boulevard in Oakland. Of the 75 units, 22 will be allocated to veteran households. Aside from the residential units, the complex will contain 3,700 square feet of commercial retail space, 1,600 square feet of office space, 3,670 square feet of amenity space, and parking for 60 vehicles. The second floor will also have a community room and landscaped courtyard.

The mixed-use Mitchell Park Place development recently opened at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 525 East Charleston Road site in Palo Alto. The complex contains 50 units of affordable housing, along with nearly 2,800 square feet for AbilityPath offices and over 14,600 square feet for common areas and supportive facilities for residents. Amenities include a fitness center, a community lounge with a kitchen, a support and meeting room, and a library and tech lounge.

Plans were approved for the ten-unit Pioneer Vista Townhomes development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 2015 Pioneer Court in San Mateo. The townhomes will all be three stories, and each townhome will contain its own garage, second-floor balcony, and rooftop deck.

Construction has begun for the workforce housing redevelopment of Oddstad Elementary School at 930 Oddstad Boulevard in Pacifica, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The complex will create 70 apartments for Pacifica School District employees across seven residential structures. The majority of these units are expected to be affordable.

Construction is moving along for Lazuli Landing, an affordable housing development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 33435 Mission Boulevard site in Union City. Of the 81 affordable units, 17 will be allocated to residents with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The ground-floor will contain commercial space, which will be leased to the city’s Youth and Family Services.

The City Council of Half Moon Bay approved a lease agreement for a five-story affordable housing development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 555 Kelly Avenue. Along with 40 residential units, 39 of which will be affordable, the building will include 2,700 square feet for a resource center for nonprofit Ayudando Latinos A Soñar and 850 square feet of residential service offices.

Plans for an eight-story residential development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 800-814 San Antonio Road site are scheduled to be reviewed by the Palo Alto Architectural Review Board. Of the 174 residential units, 25 will be affordable, and below-ground parking will be included for 202 cars and 202 bicycles. The complex also boasts amenities such as a roof deck, patio, terraces, and a gym.
