249 Pennsylvania Avenue in San Francisco

Plans were released for the nine-story affordable housing development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 249 Pennsylvania Avenue site in San Francisco. The complex will create 124 residential units, along with two courtyards and on-site parking for bicycles. Future residents will be within walking distance of the 22nd Street Caltrain Station.

All 17 apartments in the complex will be geared toward UC Berkeley students, and each unit will contain its own washer and dryer, two full bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining area, and a living room. Residential amenities will include a fitness center, rooftop deck, and on-site parking for bicycles.

Construction has begun for the six-story, 70-unit affordable housing development at El Cerrito Plaza BART Parcel A South, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. This complex is part of the proposed El Cerrito Plaza transit-oriented development, which would see 743 market-rate and affordable units constructed around the BART station. The full build-out will also include around 2,100 square feet of retail space, a potential public library, and additional parking.

Construction will start this month on a new 456-unit residential development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 6200 Bollinger Canyon Road site in San Ramon’s Bishop Ranch. The seven-story complex will include on-site parking in a garage, along with skybridges to connect the development’s separate structures. Amenities will include a fitness center, pool, work lounge, clubhouse, and a WAG Pet Spa.

Two residential projects at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 22648 2nd Street and 28000-29000 Mission Boulevard sites in Hayward recently celebrated their grand openings. These two complexes, called Mission Paradise and Pimentel Place, contain a total of 133 affordable units, with 57 units at Pimentel Place and 76 senior-oriented units at Mission Paradise. Pimentel Place will contain amenities such as bicycle parking, an outdoor gathering space, and a children’s play area, while Mission Paradise will focus on providing senior-friendly amenities like indoor and outdoor community spaces.
