Updated renderings, along with a new construction timeline, have been released for the affordable housing project at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 2530 18th Street in San Francisco. This complex will create 73 new affordable homes and a new headquarters for the Homeless Prenatal Program (HPP). Moreover, the development will contain 2,100 square feet of amenity space, including residential courtyards and an HPP garden.

Shirley Chisholm Village, a 134-unit housing development dedicated for teachers, will likely be completed during the 2024 school year at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 1360 43rd Avenue site in San Francisco. The project, which was delayed extensively before finally being constructed, has helped inspire the city to allocate $32 million in funding to create two other educator housing developments at 2205 Mission Street and 750 Golden Gate Avenue.

A large affordable housing community is being constructed on a 4.75-acre parcel called Mahonia Glen at 5173 Highway 12, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites in Santa Rosa. The nine-building complex will offer 99 affordable units of housing, with amenities including an activities room, a patio, a playground, and other landscaped open space. Moreover, the housing development will utilize unique designs, such as photovoltaic panels on roofs shaped to maximize their efficiency, that will make the complex achieve Net-Zero energy.

The development will include 68 units of housing and ~1,200 square feet of retail space, along with a ground-level garage. The eight-story complex would include 20 residential units over a Starbucks Coffee shop. New renderings have been released for an industrial warehouse at 3600 Alameda Avenue in Oakland, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The structure, which stands at 56 feet tall, will contain ~400,000 square feet of manufacturing space and ~30,000 square feet of accessory office space. On-site parking will exist for 284 cars and 32 bicycles.

New plans were filed for a transit-oriented residential development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 600 East Capitol Expressway site in San Jose. The project would create two six-story buildings with 203 affordable homes and retail space, all adjacent to Capitol Station, a VTA Light Rail Station. The two six-story buildings will also include four- and five-story step-downs, and they will be surrounded by landscaped open space.

Updated building permits have been filed for a five-story complex at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 2323 San Pablo Avenue in Oakland. There will be 16 units in the complex, and one of those units will be for an extremely low-income household, allowing the developer to utilize the State Density Bonus program. The complex will also contain 500 square feet of retail space, as well as on-site parking for vehicles and bicycles.
