A grand opening ceremony was held for the five-story affordable Timber Senior Apartments complex at 37660 Timber Street in Newark, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The 79-unit development contains amenities such as a communal lounge with a full kitchen, landscaped courtyard, computer learning center, and exercise room. Moreover, of the 79 affordable units, 20 will be allocated to seniors who were previously experiencing homelessness, medical conditions, or behavioral health conditions. Surface parking will also be included for 65 cars.

Permits were filed for a 32-townhome development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 1130 Oxford Street in Berkeley. Each of these new homes will be three stories, and they will all contain a single-car garage. These residences will replace the abandoned Oxford Elementary School campus, as the school’s campus has been relocated to University Avenue.
