5727 College Avenue in Oakland

Plans were revealed for a two-building residential high-rise project at 5727 College Avenue in Oakland, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The 31-story project, which would contain 415 senior living units, would replace the Trader Joe’s currently occupying the site. The towers are also expected to include nearly 6,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space and over 75,000 square feet of amenity space, including a community hub with a dining room, fitness center, library, swimming pool, and terrace. Lastly, the development would be located within walking distance of Rockridge BART, furthering the trend of transit-oriented developments.
