The El Cerrito City Council approved financing for the next phase of the redevelopment of the El Cerrito Plaza BART Station, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. This phase will consist of affordable housing construction. Overall, the redevelopment would include the construction of 743 mixed-income units across six new buildings. Additional uses may include 2,100 square feet of retail space and a 20,000-square-foot public library.

A meeting will be held for a four-story, 48-unit mixed-use residential building at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 949 Moraga Road site in Lafayette. The complex will be 100% affordable, and it will include a garden, residential amenities, and multipurpose facilities. A portion of the building will also be used as office space.

A notice has been published regarding an application for an 11-story, 164-unit residential development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 344 14th Street in San Francisco. Of the 164 units, 26 would be affordable, and the complex would contain 4,400 square feet of retail space. A single-story commercial building will be demolished to make way for the construction of 292 apartments and 42 townhomes at 210 Baypointe Parkway in San Jose, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. Crescent Grove, a four-story, 72-unit affordable housing development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 22447 Ruby Street site in Castro Valley, held its grand opening last week. Of the 72 units, 18 will be designated for households who have experienced homelessness, 15 will be for veterans, and 10 will be for residents with disabilities; the remaining units will be for households earning 20% to 60% of the area median income. Amenities will include a playground for children and on-site parking.

The Palo Alto Planning Commission is meeting to potentially merge five parcels and facilitate the construction of a seven-story, 368-unit residential development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 3150 El Camino Real in Palo Alto. The complex will include 74 affordable units, as well as amenities like a pool, courtyard, fitness center, and co-working area. On-site parking will be included for both cars and bicycles in a two-level basement garage.

An addendum to the final environmental impact report has been published for the industrial development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 550 East Brokaw Road in San Jose. The project would convert the existing approximately 209,000-square-foot building into a warehouse, while construction would add a new three-story, approximately 333,000-square-foot warehouse and manufacturing facility. Overall, the development would add over 542,000 square feet of industrial space.

A hearing was scheduled to review plans to construct a mixed-use residential development at 826 North Winchester Boulevard in San Jose, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The residential portion of the complex would consist of two buildings, the taller of which would be 17 stories while the other would be 16 stories; these buildings would be connected by a skybridge. Below and between these towers would be a one-story building for retail and commercial use.

Plans have been released for the 17-story, 200-unit residential development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 700 Irwin Street in San Rafael. Along with the 200 units, the complex will include a five-story podium garage for on-site parking, as well as 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Moreover, future residents will be within walking distance of the Montecito Plaza and downtown San Rafael.
