The development will create 227 new residential units while incorporating the existing United Artists Theater façade, making it an entry way for a café and residential lobby. Overall, the building will include 865 square feet of retail space and on-site parking for 137 bicycles.

The 100% affordable development hopes to create 80 residential units for seniors across two connected wings, each with 40 apartments. Plans are being reviewed for a seven-story residential development at 888 El Camino Real in Menlo Park, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The 41-unit complex will replace a restaurant currently on the site, and five of the 41 units will be designated as affordable, allowing developer Worldco Company to implement a density bonus. Amenities at 888 El Camino will include a 40-car garage and open space.

A new residential treatment facility for special needs youth was proposed at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 3800 Coolidge Avenue site in Oakland. The development would include eight dormitories, a gymnasium, and administrative offices. The two buildings currently on-site will likely be demolished.

Zoning worksheet permits were filed for the affordable housing development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at Mandela Station Parcel T3 in Oakland. The complex would yield 241 new units of housing along with 12,850 square feet of retail space and on-site parking. Moreover, the development is adjacent to the West Oakland BART station, making this a transit-oriented development. The approved plan for the entire Mandela Station redevelopment includes the construction of 762 apartments, 300,000 square feet of office space, retail space, and a public park below the West Oakland BART station.

The Palo Alto Planning Commission is set to review plans for a seven-story residential development at 3150 El Camino Real, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The complex will create 368 new apartments, and of those 368 units, 74 will be designated as affordable. Amenities will include a ground-level courtyard featuring a fitness court, hot tub, pool deck, outdoor barbecue, and zen garden, as well as a rooftop floor with three decks that will include a pet play area, a lounge overlooking the central courtyard, and a second barbecue pit. Additional amenities will include a fitness center, co-working room, and on-site parking.

A new four-story residential development has been proposed at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 4148 24th Street site in San Francisco. Demolition will be required for the existing three-story building on-site, and the new complex will include seven residential units and parking for bicycles. Of the seven units, one will be reserved as affordable for a low-income household.

New details were released regarding the five-story, 192-unit development at 430 Broadway in Oakland, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The 192 units will be split across three buildings; Building A will contain 66 units, Building B will contain 55 units, and Building C will contain 71 units. All three buildings will include on-site parking for cars and bicycles, and each building will have its own unique amenities. For example, Building B will have a 4,920-square-foot market hall for ground-level retail, and Building C will also contain 3,700 square feet of retail space. A park with open space, a playground, and public art will also be constructed next to Building C.

Of the 52 units, six will be designated as affordable to very low-income households. A seven-story, 118-unit residential project has been proposed at 380 North First Street in San Jose, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. Of the 118 units, 18 will be affordable, and on-site parking will be included for 74 vehicles. For this complex to go up, a 12,000-square-foot Candidate City Landmark building must be demolished.
