An affordable senior living center called Timber Senior Housing has been proposed at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 37660 Timber Street in Newark. The four-story development will create 79 affordable one-bedroom units of housing for senior citizens, as well as amenities like a community center, computer lab, fitness center, and community gardens.

Permits have been filed to demolish the on-site buildings and pave the way for a 28-story residential development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 1974-1998 Shattuck Avenue site in Berkeley. This building, which would be the tallest in all of Berkeley, utilizes the State Density Bonus program to increase height and create 599 units of housing, 60 of which will be affordable. Foundation work and demolition of on-site buildings has begun for a three-structure life sciences development at 1699-1701 Old Bayshore Highway in Burlingame, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The development will feature two office towers and a garage, with one building standing at 121 feet and the other standing at 135 feet. Together, these buildings will have over 475,000 square feet of laboratory and office space and over 6,300 square feet of retail space, along with on-site parking for 875 cars.

Construction has begun on a four-story, 100-unit residential development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 1100 La Avenida Avenue site in Mountain View. All 100 units in this complex will be affordable, with 25 being managed by Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing and seven functioning as permanent housing for formerly homeless people.

Construction has begun on the California College of the Arts (CCA) expansion at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 1140 7^th Street in San Francisco. The new on-campus facilities, which include two four-story structures and one two-story structure for educational purposes, are dubbed Double Ground. This expansion allows CCA to unify its programs into one campus, with the college closing its Oakland campus.

Two mixed-use developments have been proposed at adjacent lots at 1154 and 1170 Sonora Court in Sunnyvale, both of which are Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. Both buildings will rise 85 feet, containing office space, residential space, and on-site parking. 1154 Sonora will contain 172 residential units and ~142,000 square feet of office space, while 1170 Sonora will have 105 homes and ~79,000 square feet of office space.

Expansion plans for the Heritage on the Marina retirement community, which is at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 3400 Laguna Street in San Francisco, are under review. This expansion will increase the facility floor area from 83,200 square feet to 141,580 square feet, and the number of units will be increased from 86 to 109. There will also be an increase in on-site parking, and the complex’s landscaping will be redone.
