Plans were filed to expand a five-story commercial infill at 838 Market Street in San Francisco, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. Along with creating a new office floor, the renovations will change the building’s façade and parts of the existing interior. Once expansion and renovations are completed, 838 Market will have over 45,000 square feet of office space and over 29,000 square feet of retail space.

An application seeking city approval has been filed for a residential development at 2587 Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The eight-story complex will look to feature apartments above ground-floor live/work units; however, no specific number has been given for either the residential or live/work units. Moreover, this project utilized Senate Bill 330 to surpass Berkeley’s building height limit.

Exterior work is underway for the six-story, 57-unit One Piedmont project, a mixed-use development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 230-240 West MacArthur Boulevard site. 7,210 square feet of ground-floor retail space will sit below the residential space, with residential amenities including private balconies, a rooftop deck, a fitness center, a business work area, and lounges. The complex will also include below-grade parking for cars and bicycles.

A six-story, 18-unit residential infill will replace a closed pub at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 811 Valencia Street in San Francisco. The complex will have on-site parking for 20 bicycles, with other amenities including a landscaped yard and a rooftop deck. Construction is expected to begin this year.

The concrete foundation pour has been completed at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 1510 Webster Street site in downtown Oakland. 1510 Webster will be a mixed-use development, with its 19 stories encompassing 222 new units of housing above commercial and retail space. Furthermore, the construction style encourages sustainable development, as 1510 Webster will be the largest mass timber building in California and the second-largest in the country.

With the help of Resources for Community Development (RCD), Rockridge Geotechnical is happy to announce that two projects have recently started construction at our sites. The Rick Judd Commons development recently broke ground at 1315 Galindo Street in Concord, and it will create 62 new affordable one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes in a transit-rich area. Meanwhile, Bell Street Gardens at 4101 Mowry Avenue in Fremont also just started construction, and this project will provide 126 new affordable units across two buildings. Both the Rick Judd Commons and Bell Street Gardens will provide amenities at their residences, such as community rooms, supportive services, and shared courtyards and patios.

Demolition of a two-story commercial building has begun at 828 Brannan Street in San Francisco, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. Post-demolition, the site will host a two-story commercial office building with ~11,200 square feet of office space and ~11,200 square feet of light industrial space. Initially, the space was going to be used for a seven-story, 50-unit mixed-use residential building with 2,100 square feet of retail space.

The demolition will make way for a five-story, 34-unit residential mixed-use development on the site. The development will also include 1,980 square feet of retail space along with on-site parking for vehicles and bicycles.

Demolition permits have been filed for the existing buildings at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 333 Dolores Street site in San Francisco, as it is the future location of the Children’s Day School campus. The new campus will be one building, containing administrative offices and classrooms for preschool through fourth grade. The campus will also have landscaped open space for students.
