Today, the South San Francisco Planning Commission will vote on plans for the 183-unit mixed-use development at 180 El Camino Real; along with the residential units, the project would also create 750,000 square feet of life science space. Located adjacent to the San Bruno Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) station, Rockridge Geotechnical previously completed an investigation and consultation for the multi-parcel project.

Beam Development has formally submitted plans to create a 180-unit residential complex at San Leandro’s Town Hall Square on East 14th Street. Rockridge Geotechnical completed an investigation and will be doing the geotechnical work for the project’s construction. Development on the site has been delayed for 15 years because the initial project was paused during the Great Recession in 2008, so this plan submission is a major step forward in finally completing this project.

The San Francisco Planning Department has determined that Rockridge Geotechnical’s project at 1458 San Bruno is eligible for a streamlined environmental review. The residential project plans to create 232 units of housing, with 28 of them being affordable.

Two developers have proposed a medical office at a site in San Jose where Rockridge Geotechnical previously completed an investigation and consultation. The proposed office space would be at 1410 South Bascom Avenue, standing adjacent to the Bascom Station development that contains a light rail station and newly constructed office and residential space.

Demolition has begun for the existing four-story structure at 1510 Webster Street in Oakland, which is the site of one of our mixed-use residential projects. Rockridge Geotechnical completed an investigation and consultation for the 19-story, 222-unit apartment complex to be built at 1510 Webster. The tower will also have around 9,500 square feet of office space along with 2,900 square feet of retail space, and 42 of the 222 homes will be affordable.

New renderings have been released for the redevelopment of Parkmerced (Phase 1), one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s mixed-use residential projects. The three buildings in the renderings plan to create 896 units of housing, while the Parkmerced project as a whole intends to create 8,900 units of housing spread across 91 buildings. The development will also add 230,000 square feet of retail space, 80,000 square feet of office space, and 64,000 square feet for a community center, as well as redeveloping an existing preschool.

Multifamily residences have been proposed on parcels of land near Bayfair in San Leandro at 15739 and 15741 East 14th Street, addresses at which Rockridge Geotechnical previously completed an investigation and consultation. The 487-unit complex intends to develop a “transit-oriented community hub,” with 15% of the housing units being affordable for very low-income families.
