10333 North Wolfe Road in Cupertino

Permits were filed for an affordable workforce housing development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 10333 North Wolfe Road in Cupertino. The seven-structure project would create 249 rental units and on-site parking for 219 cars across surface lots and podium garages. The complex would also include several outdoor spaces and a bicycle-pedestrian trail.

The four-story educational facility would contain spaces for public exhibitions and conferences, along with a lecture hall, a library, classrooms, offices, and the Holocaust Center’s archives. 675-685 East Middlefield Road in Mountain View

A CEQA exemption has been given to the enormous mixed-use East Whisman Precise Plan at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 675-685 East Middlefield Road site in Mountain View. The project would replace the existing office complex with a five-building development, which would include 836 units across three residential buildings, 275,000 square feet of office space in a six-story office block, an eight-story parking garage, and additional parking beneath two of the residential structures. Of the 836 units, 150 would be designated as affordable. This project would also include a half-acre of public space, and the development will be transit-oriented, as it will be within walking distance of the Whisman Light Rail Station and Mountain View Caltrain Station.

965 Weeks Street in East Palo Alto

Construction has topped out for the four-building, 136-unit affordable housing complex at 965 Weeks Street in East Palo Alto, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. This development, which has been named Colibri Commons, will provide units ranging from studios to four-bedroom apartments, along with on-site amenities such as outdoor play areas, a learning center for resident children, a community room with a kitchen, and on-site office space for support staff. Parking will also be included for 218 cars in a five-story garage. Developer MidPen will also offer on-site services to residents, such as employment preparation, education programs, and exercise and nutrition classes.

1815 Market Street in San Francisco

A new restaurant and entertainment venue called Dante’s Inferno was proposed at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 1815 Market Street in San Francisco. The proposed project would include the redevelopment of a multilevel rooftop cocktail bar and Caribbean restaurant, which would also double as a nightclub and event space. Renovations would include an expansion at the rear of the building, along with a staircase and elevator connecting the ground floor and rooftop levels.

Construction is underway for the eight-story, 52-unit student housing development at 2587 Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The complex will provide 485 beds within the 52 units, and six of the 52 units will be designated as affordable. The building will also contain 2,900 square feet of on-site retail space, along with amenities including 5,100 square feet of open space, a fitness center, a yoga studio, study pods, a small clubroom connected to two rooftop terraces, and parking for 79 bicycles.

Construction is nearly complete for the five-story Potrero Block B affordable housing complex at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 1801 25th Street site in San Francisco. The development will consist of 157 affordable units, the majority of which will be dedicated to existing Potrero Public Housing residents. Overall, Block B will be comprised of two five-story buildings, and along with residential units, those buildings will contain a childcare facility, community room, teen center, small public park, and on-site parking for cars and bicycles.

The public review period has begun for the 17-story mixed-use complex at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 826 Winchester Boulevard in San Jose. This development would create 135 new apartments across two towers connected by a skybridge, as well as ground-level retail space and a two-story underground garage containing parking for cars and bicycles. Of the 135 units, 20 will be designated as affordable housing; moreover, 68 units will have a private balcony. Shared amenities will include an indoor lounge and terraces on the second floor and fifteenth floor.
