Plans have been submitted to reduce the number of units and stories at a residential development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 3801 Telegraph Avenue site in Oakland. The complex was initially going to be six stories with 158 units, but it will now be five stories with 110 units. However, the 2,350 square feet of commercial retail space will remain the same, with a café on the ground floor.

A mixed-use residential building is for sale at 1174-1178 Folsom Street in San Francisco, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The complex, named OME, contains 42 residential units, ~5,700 square feet of commercial office space, three ground floor retail spaces, and ~2,200 square feet of lower-level office/storage space.

Construction has topped out for Kiku Crossing, a residential development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 400 East 5th Avenue in San Mateo. The complex will create 225 units of housing, all of which will be affordable, with the homes ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments. The development will also include a 696-space parking garage, as well as other residential amenities like a learning center, community room, and open-air courtyard with recreational space.

Renderings have been released for the six-story residential development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 2127 Dwight Way site in Berkeley. The project will create 58 units of housing while also retaining eight additional units in two existing buildings. In total, eight homes will be designated as affordable units, with developer Riaz Capital utilizing the State Density Bonus program and Senate Bill 330.

Construction is nearly finished for the first phase of development of a senior living complex at 3575 Mendocino Avenue in Santa Rosa, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The first phase will deliver 94 of the 162 homes that will be created for low-income seniors in an apartment complex called The Laurel. An additional 260 market-rate homes will also be added to the site, totaling around 420 apartments.

Low-density housing plans have been approved at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 930 Oddstad Boulevard in Pacifica. The nine-building development will replace a vacant elementary school with 44 apartments and 26 townhomes, with 11 units being designated as affordable. On-site parking will be included, as well as a community center, a 900-square-foot office, and landscaped open space.

Three separate applications for almost 900 total units of housing have been submitted at Rockridge Geotechnical’s Parkmerced site adjacent to the San Francisco State University campus. If approved, these applications would create a 471-unit complex at 101 Font Boulevard, a 274-unit complex at 99 Higuera Avenue, and a 151-unit complex at 600 Arballo Drive.
Five of Rockridge Geotechnical’s affordable housing projects were mentioned in Resources for Community Development’s spring newsletter, with those projects being Sango Court, Bell Street Gardens, Nellie Hannon Gateway, Rick Judd Commons, and Madrone Terrace. Furthermore, the newsletter announced that there will be a groundbreaking ceremony on May 18th for the 79-unit Madrone Terrace, which is located at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 16060 East 14th Street site in Ashland.

We are proud to announce the grand opening of the Firehouse Square development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 1300 El Camino Real site in Belmont! The four-story complex will provide 66 new homes for families and individuals, all of which will be affordable. A grand opening ceremony hosted by developer MidPen Housing will be held on May 16th.
Renderings have been released for an eight-story mixed-use development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 3120 Shattuck Avenue site in Berkeley. All units in the building, of which there will be up to 65, will be affordable, and the building will also include community service-oriented retail space, workshop spaces for local micro-retail, and outdoor terraces with greenery. Lastly, the development will have net zero energy, making it fully sustainable.
