New plans were released for the eight-story, 83-unit redevelopment of the Alexandria Theater at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 5400 Geary Boulevard in San Francisco. Along with its residential space, the building would contain 1,710 square feet of ground-level retail space and a 1,440-square-foot community benefit space. Other residential amenities would include a coworking lounge and communal outdoor space, and the theater would retain its historic façade.

New renderings were released for the 72-unit residential development at 1218 Monte Diablo Avenue in San Mateo, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The complex will consist of a five-story, 62-unit apartment complex and ten townhouse-style apartments. Amenities will include a podium-top courtyard and on-site parking for 90 cars and 72 bicycles.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the 113-unit Regional Street Apartments development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 7750 Saint Patrick Way site in Dublin. Of the 113 units, 112 will be affordable for very low-income seniors, with 34 of these units being allocated to formerly homeless individuals; the final unit will be for the building manager. Amenities will include a community garden, open terraces, pet play areas, a lounge, and on-site laundry, as well as on-site parking.

The San Ramon Planning Commission will be voting on plans for a six-story, 200-unit affordable housing development at 2453 Camino Ramon in San Ramon’s Bishop Ranch, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The development will create two separate structures, one of which will contain 80 units of affordable senior housing while the other will contain 120 units of affordable multifamily housing. On-site parking will be included for 312 cars and 16 bicycles.

Permits have been filed for a six-story, 230-unit residential development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 220 West 20th Avenue in San Mateo. Of the 230 apartments, 23 will be affordable, allowing the developer to utilize the State Density Bonus. The complex will also include a three-level garage with parking for cars and bicycles, as well as amenities such as a fitness center, club room, and rooftop decks.

Construction of a third building is underway at La Scuola International School’s Mission Campus, which is located at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 3270 18th Street site in San Francisco. The four-story building will provide updated educational facilities for the Italian immersion school, and this structure will become the new main entrance to the campus. Moreover, the development will include a rooftop amenity deck for adults and students.

Construction has begun on the second phase of Midway Village at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 8 Partridge Street site in Daly City. After the first phase, which is now open to residents, created 147 affordable units, this second phase will deliver an additional 113 affordable units, with 29 of those units allocated to individuals supported through the Housing for a Healthy California Program. Other amenities will include a 15,000-square-foot childcare center, along with indoor and outdoor community spaces. Overall, the four-phase Midway Village development hopes to eventually deliver 555 homes.

The El Cerrito City Council approved financing for the next phase of the redevelopment of the El Cerrito Plaza BART Station, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. This phase will consist of affordable housing construction. Overall, the redevelopment would include the construction of 743 mixed-income units across six new buildings. Additional uses may include 2,100 square feet of retail space and a 20,000-square-foot public library.
