Two residential projects at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 22648 2^nd Street and 28000-29000 Mission Boulevard sites in Hayward recently celebrated their grand openings. These two complexes, called Mission Paradise and Pimentel Place, contain a total of 133 affordable units, with 57 units at Pimentel Place and 76 senior-oriented units at Mission Paradise. Pimentel Place will contain amenities such as bicycle parking, an outdoor gathering space, and a children’s play area, while Mission Paradise will focus on providing senior-friendly amenities like indoor and outdoor community spaces.

Construction will likely begin next year for the 15-story senior housing complex at 1939 Market Street in San Francisco, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. Of the 106 units, 104 will be affordable, and two will be allocated to on-site building managers. The units will be targeted at seniors in the LGBTQ+ community, and they will include specialized equipment to meet the various needs of senior citizens. The structure will also include 1,700 square feet of commercial space.

Permits were issued for the eight-story, 97-unit residential complex called the Eliza at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 2125 Telegraph Avenue site in Oakland. Of the 97 units, 96 will be affordable, while one unit will be set aside for the on-site property manager. Amenities will include a rooftop deck, courtyard, community room, kitchen, and parking for bicycles.

Developer AvalonBay has purchased Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 6200 Bollinger Canyon Road in San Ramon’s Bishop Ranch to construct a 456-unit residential complex. The development will be called Avalon San Ramon, and it will include amenities such as a rooftop deck, fitness center, pool, and pet spa. This complex is just one of many large multifamily developments set to be constructed in Bishop Ranch, and Avalon San Ramon will sit across from the 300,000-square-foot City Center, an open-air shopping center.
