2555 College Avenue in Berkeley

A four-story residential development has been proposed at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 2555 College Avenue in Berkeley. The complex, which will be built on a 4,000-square-foot vacant parcel and contain 10,000 square feet of space, will include 11 mixed-income units, with 14% reserved for very low-income households.

Balboa Reservoir townhomes in San Francisco

A construction estimate has been given for the 89 townhomes to be built in a multiphase development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s Balboa Reservoir site. These townhomes are phase one of an estimated 1,100 unit project from affordable housing developers BRIDGE Housing and AvalonBay Communities, and groundbreaking for this phase is expected in 2024. 1101-1123 Sutter Street in Polk Gulch

Demolition permits were filed for the existing structure at 1123 Sutter Street in San Francisco, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The demolition will allow for a 14-story residential project on the site that will create 221 homes, retail space, and a childcare center.

2480 Bancroft Way in Berkeley

Plans and renderings have been published for an eight-story apartment complex at 2480 Bancroft Way in Berkeley, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The complex would create 28 new homes, all three- to six-bedroom units, and 2,000 square feet of retail space. Moreover, two of the units will be for very low-income households. 2012 Berkeley Way in Berkeley

Berkeley’s largest-ever affordable housing project opened last week at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 2012 Berkeley Way! The complex will include 142 affordable units of housing and 44 beds in an on-site homeless shelter, which will provide mental health assistance, job training, and other services. Other amenities include a play area for children and an herb garden.

3050 International Boulevard in Oakland

The City of Oakland has released more information about the mixed-use project at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 3050 International Boulevard. The seven-story development will create 76 units of affordable housing, with over 13,000 square feet for commercial use and on-site parking. The nonprofit Native American Health Center will also use the location to help nearby indigenous people, and the Oakland center will focus heavily on youth care.

1669-1699 Old Bayshore Highway and 810-849 Malcom Road

King Street Properties and Helios Real Estate have received approval from the Burlingame Planning Commission to move forward with its office and R&D project at 1669-1699 Old Bayshore Highway and 810-849 Malcom Road, both of which are Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The project will create a campus containing a seven-story building with surface parking and an eight-story building with a nine-level parking garage. The total office and R&D space across the campus will be 475,800 square feet, with 60% classified as laboratory space and 40% classified as office space.

Eight-story hotel at 3723 Haven Avenue

An application for a new eight-story hotel at 3723 Haven Avenue, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites in Menlo Park, has been submitted by FPG Development. The hotel will have 163 rooms, on-site parking for 124 vehicles, and amenities such as a ground-floor coffee shop and rooftop garden.

1510 Webster Street in Oakland

Ground has been broken for the mixed-use development at 1510 Webster Street in Oakland. The complex will contain 222 units of housing, 35 of which will be affordable, along with nearly 3,000 square feet for retail, 9,500 square feet for office space, and on-site parking for bicycles. This will be the tallest timber building on the West Coast.

430 Broadway Avenue in Oakland’s Jack London district

New plans have been filed for the eight-story mixed-use project at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 430 Broadway Avenue in Oakland’s Jack London district. The updated plan for the two-building complex would create up to 300 affordable units of housing and over 10,700 square feet of commercial retail space. Senate Bills 35 and 330 are expediting the process of acquiring approval for the proposal.
