Permits have been filed for a six-story, 105-unit mixed-use development at 1026 Cotton Street in Oakland, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The building will contain over 10,000 square feet of retail space to go along with the residential units, with amenities including on-site parking for residents. The number of parking spaces will be 105 if three-level stackers are used, or there will be 222 spaces if a basement garage is installed.

Updated renderings have been released for the 25-story residential tower to be built at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 1523 Harrison Street site in Oakland. These new renderings show more density, as the number of residential units has increased from 269 to 361 with the number of stories increasing from 20 to 25. Furthermore, the ground floor will potentially be used for commercial space.

The permitting process has begun for a multi-building, mixed-use complex at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 430 Broadway in Oakland. Three buildings have been proposed that would contain about 300 affordable residential units combined, with current permits saying each building will be six stories tall and offer 94 affordable units. Over 10,000 square feet of commercial space will also be included across the three buildings.

A $40 million renovation has been proposed for Rockridge Geotechnical’s Jackson Park site in San Francisco. The 4.4-acre improvements will increase the size of the existing park clubhouse by 4,700 square feet while also creating a new playground, community learning gardens, and a multipurpose outdoor ball court.

Construction is continuing at the 14-story Anchor House, a student dormitory for UC Berkeley located at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 1921 Walnut Street in Berkeley. The dorm building will contain 244 units of student housing, ranging from studios to four-bedroom apartments. Each apartment will contain desks, a kitchen, and washer-dryer, while the amenities in the complex include a fitness center, culinary classroom, central courtyard, and event spaces.

Construction is underway for the six-story, 113-unit senior living community at 2000 Dwight Way in Berkeley, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. 88 of the units will be for assisted living while 25 will be memory care suites, and the complex is across the street from the Alta Bates Summit Medical Center and Sutter Urgent Care centers.

Renderings have been released of the 17-story mixed-use development sprouting from the California Theatre at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 2115 Kittredge Street site in Berkeley. The historic façade of the building will remain the same, but a new theater will be created for live performances below the 218 apartments being built on the upper floors. Commercial space, including office space, and an amenity room for residents will also be included in the development.

Construction of Studio 2000, an eight-story apartment complex at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 2000 University Avenue in Berkeley, has finished. The development will create 82 apartments, with one fifth of those being affordable so the project could use the State Density Bonus program. The complex is also expected to achieve LEED Gold certification, along with containing over 1,400 square feet of retail space and two rooftop gardens.

Renderings have been released for the research and laboratory building planned at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 2741 16th Street site in San Francisco. A one-story vertical addition will bring the development to four stories and over 87,000 square feet, with much of the office space being converted to laboratory space.
