New building permits were requested for an 11-story, mixed-use apartment complex proposed at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 1500 15th Street in San Francisco. Permits were filed for the entirely affordable second phase of the master plan at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 675 East Santa Clara Street in San Jose. This second phase will likely consist of a seven-story residential complex, a five-story senior housing complex, and 36 for-sale townhomes. Overall, this would create 213 units of affordable housing. Later this month, the City of Oakland’s Planning Commission will be reviewing plans for an eight-story, 300-unit apartment complex at 533 Kirkham Street, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. If approved, the development would join the list of residential complexes being constructed around the West Oakland BART station as part of the West Oakland Specific Plan, which looks to emphasize transit-oriented, high-density housing.

Plans are to be reviewed for a 21-story apartment complex at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 5185 Lafayette Street site in Santa Clara, a site that is part of the Tasman East master plan. The transit-oriented development will create almost 200 units near the light rail and Capitol Corridor train station, as well as about 3,000 square feet of retail space and a 310-car garage. This complex is part of the larger Tasman East development, which will create about 4,500 new units across 11 projects.

A new application has been filed for the potential tallest building in Berkeley at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 1974-1998 Shattuck Avenue. This 28-story development will create 599 units of housing, along with nearly 17,000 square feet of retail space. Construction has topped out for a life sciences development at 1699 Old Bayshore Highway in Burlingame, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. Part of The Landing, a multi-building life sciences campus at the site, this structure is the first to be delivered. Along with this building, there will be another life sciences building and a parking garage, totaling about 476,000 square feet of laboratory space and 6,400 square feet of retail space. The garage will contain 875 spaces for cars, and the campus’ amenities include a fitness center, conferencing area, café, and flexible work areas.
