Several component lots in downtown Oakland have been acquired by developer Community HousingWorks to construct an affordable housing complex at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 1523 Harrison Street in Oakland. The building is expected to be 11 stories, containing 281 units of low-income and very low-income housing. On-site parking will be included for cars and bicycles.

New development permits were filed for the adaptive reuse of the historic church at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 111 Fairmount Avenue site in Oakland. The project would demolish the church’s rear building areas and parking lot, incorporating the historic church entry into a new six-story, 91-unit apartment complex. All 91 units would be affordable, and amenities would include on-site parking for cars and bicycles.
