MidPen Housing recently announced the opening of the Kiku Crossing residential complex at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 400 East 5^th Avenue site in San Mateo. All 225 units in the development will be affordable, and 25% of the units will be prioritized for public employees; additional units were made available for people who have experienced homelessness or disability.

On-site amenities include a community kitchen and private staff who help with case management, job navigation, mental health and addiction recovery, and applying for medical care benefits. Moreover, the building will be constructed around a landscaped courtyard with seating.
