The Berkeley Zoning Adjustment Board will review plans for the eight-story residential project at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 2455 Telegraph Avenue site in Berkeley. Called Amoeba Apartments, the complex would create 68 units above the historic Amoeba Music record store in Berkeley while preserving the building’s existing façade and mural. Of these 68 units, seven will be affordable, with the units tailored for UC Berkeley student living. The record store will continue to operate in the new 7,160 square feet of retail space located on the building’s ground floor.
