Permits were filed for a 32-townhome development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 1130 Oxford Street in Berkeley. Each of these new homes will be three stories, and they will all contain a single-car garage. These residences will replace the abandoned Oxford Elementary School campus, as the school’s campus has been relocated to University Avenue.

The City of Palo Alto granted a streamlined approval process for the seven-story, 183-unit multifamily residential development at 3781 El Camino Real, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. Of the 183 units, 23 will be affordable, and parking for 215 cars and 148 bicycles will be included in a three-story podium garage. Residential amenities will include a podium-top courtyard, co-working space, a fitness center, a pet spa, and a rooftop club room connected to a terrace.

A grand opening ceremony was recently held for Colibri Commons, a four-story multi-structure affordable housing complex at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 965 Weeks Street in East Palo Alto. The development will contain 136 apartments across all its buildings, and residential amenities will include a community room, outdoor play areas, and an after-school learning center.

Demolition permits were filed for a two-story commercial building at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 1939 Market Street site in San Francisco. The site is expected to be converted into a 15-story affordable senior housing complex with over 200 residential units and 1,700 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. Updated plans were filed for a four-story residential complex at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 11880 Skyline Boulevard in Oakland. This new proposal looks to create 31 units of affordable housing, an increase of 11 units from the previous iteration of the project.

An application was filed to replace two existing commercial buildings with an eight-story, 363-unit apartment complex at 19300 Stevens Creek Boulevard in Cupertino, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The development includes amenities such as a community room, fitness center, pet spa, outdoor living spaces, two outdoor courtyards, and a three-story parking garage with room for 451 cars and 219 bicycles. Moreover, of the 363 units, 43 will be affordable.

The affordable housing portion of the mixed-use Flicker Bird Homes development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 3050 International Boulevard site in Oakland opened its doors earlier this week. Along with the 76 affordable residential units, the five-story complex includes a Native American Health Center on the ground floor. The development will also contain Women, Infants, and Children Services, a 300-person community and cultural center to host events, and administrative offices.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held last week for the six-story, 75-unit affordable housing development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 2700 International Boulevard in Oakland. Of the 75 units, 22 will be allocated to veteran households. Aside from the residential units, the complex will contain 3,700 square feet of commercial retail space, 1,600 square feet of office space, 3,670 square feet of amenity space, and parking for 60 vehicles. The second floor will also have a community room and landscaped courtyard.

The mixed-use Mitchell Park Place development recently opened at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 525 East Charleston Road site in Palo Alto. The complex contains 50 units of affordable housing, along with nearly 2,800 square feet for AbilityPath offices and over 14,600 square feet for common areas and supportive facilities for residents. Amenities include a fitness center, a community lounge with a kitchen, a support and meeting room, and a library and tech lounge.
