Later this month, the City of Oakland’s Planning Commission will be reviewing plans for an eight-story, 300-unit apartment complex at 533 Kirkham Street, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. If approved, the development would join the list of residential complexes being constructed around the West Oakland BART station as part of the West Oakland Specific Plan, which looks to emphasize transit-oriented, high-density housing.
