A groundbreaking celebration was held for the two-building affordable housing development at 38889 Bell Street in Fremont, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. Called Bell Street Gardens, the project consists of redeveloping a motel on-site, which would create 79 new residential units, and constructing a new three-story building, creating an additional 49 units. All 128 units will be designated as affordable, with 25% of these units being reserved for tenants with special needs. Bell Gardens is also targeting LEED Gold efficiency, emphasizing environmental friendliness, and amenities include in-building resident services, an exercise room, community rooms, shared patios, and a landscaped courtyard.
