Permits were filed for the mixed-use redevelopment of the Alexandria Theater at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 5400 Geary Boulevard site in San Francisco. The vacant theater will be partially demolished, retaining some of its distinctive elements, to construct an eight-story complex with 83 residential units, over 1,700 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and a 1,440-square-foot ground-floor black-box theater. Of the 83 units, 10 will be affordable, allowing the project to utilize the State Density Bonus.
