Permits were issued for the demolition of the existing two-story commercial building at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 2298 Durant Avenue site in Berkeley, making way for an eight-story, 65-unit apartment complex geared toward UC Berkeley students. Of the 65 units, 5 will be affordable for very low-income households, allowing the project to utilize the State Density Bonus.
