The City of Berkeley has given approval for a 739-unit transit-oriented development above the North Berkeley BART station, and Rockridge Geotechnical will be working with the North Berkeley Housing Partners development team on this multi-phase project. The development will consist of 13 buildings up to eight stories in height, and of the 739 units, over half will be affordable; Rockridge Geotechnical will be working with BRIDGE Housing, which is part of the North Berkeley Housing Partners team, to build 236 units across two eight-story buildings and three three-story buildings. Along with the residential units, this massive complex will include a childcare facility, over 6,000 square feet of community-serving ground-floor space, and over 48,000 square feet of public open space.
