An updated application has been submitted for the two-building senior housing development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 5727 College Avenue site in Oakland. In this proposal, the two towers have seen their heights reduced to 26 stories and 23 stories respectively, and the number of residential units has decreased from 415 to 372. Moreover, the amount of retail space has been increased to nearly 19,000 square feet, with potential space for a grocery store after backlash over the proposed closing and demolition of the existing Trader Joe’s on the site. On-site parking for 263 cars will also be included in a multi-level garage.
