The Santa Clara Square office development is located on the northern side of Augustine Drive, between Bowers Drive and San Tomas Aquinas Creek in Santa Clara. Phases 2 and 3 of the Santa Clara Square development consisted of constructing five 6-story steel-framed office buildings, two 6-level concrete parking garages, five 1-story utility enclosure structures, and an amenity building.
Rockridge Geotechnical (RG) prepared the final geotechnical report and provided services during the construction.
The new office buildings and parking garages are supported on driven concrete piles taking support from skin friction in the alluvial subsurface soils underlying the site. Other site improvements include new infrastructure, a driveway from Augustine Drive to the west parking structure, pedestrian pathways, and new hardscapes and landscaping.
