Rockridge Geotechnical (RG) performed geotechnical investigations, provided consultation during design, and performed geotechnical services during construction of the phases of this project. The project site encompasses 42 acres over multiple blocks. The project included construction of 11 new office buildings, two amenity buildings, four parking structures, and extensive pavement, flatwork, and landscaped areas. Rockridge Geotechnical performed geotechnical investigations and provided consultation during the design for each phase. All office buildings and parking structures are supported on spread footings bearing on ground improved with drilled displacement sand-cement columns (DDSCs). The DDSCs were installed to mitigate static and liquefaction-induced settlement to tolerable levels. During construction, Rockridge Geotechnical provided observation and testing services, including oversight during installation and load testing of DDSCs, field sampling and laboratory unconfined compression testing for DDSCs, and compaction testing for building pad grading, fill placement, and grading for new pavements and concrete flatwork.
