Rockridge Geotechnical (RG) provided geotechnical engineering services during the design and construction of the Hunters View Revitalization Phase II project. This project transformed the dangerous and severely dilapidated former public housing into a vibrant community that serves the existing residents. The Phase II project area encompassed five city blocks, designated as Blocks 7 through 11. The project included the installation of new infrastructure and the construction of affordable housing on three city blocks.
Phase II infrastructure improvements included site grading and preparation of building pads for Blocks 7 through 11 for vertical development, construction of a new park and new streets, construction of retaining walls, and installation of underground utilities. Site grading included construction of engineered fill slope with keyways, benches, and subdrains. Other site improvements included the installation of permeable pavers and stormwater infiltration basins.
