Rockridge Geotechnical (RG) provided geotechnical engineering services for every stage of this project. Relatively shallow bedrock was encountered during the field investigation. In addition, the below-grade portion of the building extends near the high groundwater level.

Rockridge Geotechnical recommended the building be supported on continuous or isolated spread footings. Other recommendations included a cantilevered soldier pile-and-lagging shoring system combined with tiebacks for the deepened portion of the excavation, temporary dewatering, lateral earth pressures for permanent below-grade walls, and concrete floor slabs with waterproofing.
