Claremont Hotel: Fairmont Spa
Considered the Bay Area’s most luxurious hotel, the 19th-century estate now known as the Claremont Hotel is home to the Fairmont Spa. In 2021, the Fairmont Spa’s completed renovations earned the Spa a 4-Star rating from Forbes.

Rockridge Geotechnical (RG) performed a geotechnical investigation and prepared a geotechnical report in support of the renovations of the Fairmont Spa at the Claremont. Based on the subsurface conditions, RG recommended that new structures be supported on conventional spread footings. Additional recommendations were made to account for the presence of near-surface expansive soil.
