Two mixed-use developments have been proposed at adjacent lots at 1154 and 1170 Sonora Court in Sunnyvale, both of which are Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. Both buildings will rise 85 feet, containing office space, residential space, and on-site parking. 1154 Sonora will contain 172 residential units and ~142,000 square feet of office space, while 1170 Sonora will have 105 homes and ~79,000 square feet of office space.

Expansion plans for the Heritage on the Marina retirement community, which is at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 3400 Laguna Street in San Francisco, are under review. This expansion will increase the facility floor area from 83,200 square feet to 141,580 square feet, and the number of units will be increased from 86 to 109. There will also be an increase in on-site parking, and the complex’s landscaping will be redone.

The proposed development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 550 East Brokaw Road in San Jose has been approved. After demolition of the existing on-site buildings, the project would develop seven buildings, which combine for nearly 2,000,000 square feet of office space, along with a public park. Landscaped pathways will cross through the park and connect the buildings.

Construction has reached the second floor at the eight-story, 90-unit mixed-use complex at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 988 Harrison Street site in San Francisco. Along with on-site parking, the building will also include almost 7,000 square feet of retail space. Moreover, 12 of the 90 units will be affordable.

Construction is ongoing at the 16-story, 330-unit mixed-use development at 2359 Harrison Street in Oakland, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The complex will also include 15 affordable units, as well as 13,200 square feet of retail space and on-site parking for both cars and bicycles.

The groundbreaking ceremony for Eden Housing’s La Avenida affordable housing complex will be happening this week. La Avenida, which is located at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 1188 Armand Drive site in Mountain View, will create 100 affordable homes in an excellent neighborhood. The complex will also focus on housing veterans and formerly homeless individuals.

Demolition has begun for the Mitchell Park Place complex at 525 East Charleston Road in Palo Alto, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. This 50-unit complex is 100% affordable, and it will focus on helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Moreover, AbilityPath will provide on-site services for these disabled residents.
Eden Housing received $21.7 million in funding for its Timber Senior Housing development at one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites in Newark. The complex will provide 79 one-bedroom units for seniors, all of which will be affordable. This funding comes from Governor Gavin Newsom’s $825 million commitment to increase affordable housing.
Plans have been submitted for a new seven-story, 69 unit building at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 2300 Ellsworth Street across from UC Berkeley. The number of homes in the initial application was 127 apartments, but the project has since been downsized. Of the 69 residential units, nine will be affordable.

Plans have been filed for a four-story, two-unit residential development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 430 Green Street in San Francisco. A two-bedroom unit will encompass the second floor while a four-bedroom unit will stretch across the third and fourth floors. The building will also include on-site parking, a workshop area, and an open space area for residents.

New renderings have been released for the eight-story, 207-unit mixed-use development that will replace multiple old commercial buildings at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 1598 University Avenue site in Berkeley. Out of the 207 new homes, 21 will be affordable for very low-income households, allowing the project to utilize the State Density Bonus program. The complex will also feature almost 6,000 square feet of retail space and on-site parking for cars and bicycles.

Plans were filed to expand a five-story commercial infill at 838 Market Street in San Francisco, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. Along with creating a new office floor, the renovations will change the building’s façade and parts of the existing interior. Once the expansion and renovations are completed, the 838 Market will have over 45,000 square feet of office space and over 29,000 square feet of retail space.

An application seeking city approval has been filed for a residential development at 2587 Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The eight-story complex will look to feature apartments above ground-floor live/work units; however, no specific number has been given for either the residential or live/work units. Moreover, this project utilized Senate Bill 330 to surpass Berkeley’s building height limit.

Exterior work is underway for the six-story, 57-unit One Piedmont project, a mixed-use development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 230-240 West MacArthur Boulevard site. 7,210 square feet of ground-floor retail space will sit below the residential space, with residential amenities including private balconies, a rooftop deck, a fitness center, a business work area, and lounges. The complex will also include below-grade parking for cars and bicycles.
