A grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony will be held for the Blue Oak Landing housing development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 2118 Sacramento Street site in Vallejo. The supportive housing complex will provide a total of 75 units, 74 of which will be affordable for very low-income households; the remaining unit will be designated as the building manager’s unit. The units in the development will be prioritized for households that are either experiencing homelessness or at risk of experiencing homelessness, and the building will provide on-site resident services and case management.
Demolition will begin soon at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 2205 Mission Street in San Francisco, paving the way for an affordable housing development. A 63-unit, 100% affordable complex will replace the structure currently on-site, with the units being designated as housing for teachers. The complex will also include a child daycare unit and a large institutional community space. This project comes after Mayor London Breed announced increased funding for multiple teacher workforce housing projects.

Check out Resources for Community Development’s piece discussing the groundbreaking of Madrone Terrace in Ashland and Nellie Hannon Gateway in Emeryville, both of which are being constructed on Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The two 100% affordable developments will create a combined 169 apartments for over 300 future residents.

Plans have been filed for a two-structure residential development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 1311 Quesada Avenue site in San Francisco. Of the two structures, one will be six stories and the other will be seven stories, and they will contain a combined 27 units; of these 27 units, 26 will be affordable, and one will be a manager’s unit. The complex will also include almost 1,500 square feet of community-serving space, which will be used for amenities such as an early childcare education center.

New plans will be reviewed for an eight-story, 83-unit residential development at 2538 Durant Avenue in Berkeley, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. This complex will be near the UC Berkeley campus, and it will likely provide housing for some of the university’s students. Furthermore, five of the units will be designated as affordable for very low-income households, and the development will feature nearly 1,500 square feet of retail space.

Plans were approved for a new five-story affordable housing development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 430 Broadway in Oakland. There will be 71 units in the structure, 70 of which will be affordable and one of which will be the manager’s unit. Along with housing, the complex will contain ~2,400 square feet of retail space, as well as on-site parking for cars and bicycles.

Construction has been completed for the six-story office development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 220 Park Road site in Burlingame. Along with 168,000 square feet of office space, the complex will include 17,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space and a 275-car garage. A landscaped path will also encompass the building.

Construction is nearly complete for an apartment complex at 1095 Rollins Road in Burlingame, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The six-story, 150-unit development will include 15 affordable units for moderate-income households, allowing the project to utilize the State Density Bonus program. The structure will have a second-floor amenity deck containing facilities like a fitness center and a bocce ball court with a lounge.

Updated permits have been filed for the potential nine-story residential development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 1462 Pine Street in San Francisco. The project would create 104 units of housing, with over a fifth of those being designated as affordable so the proposal is able to use the State Density Bonus program. Amenities will include on-site parking for cars and bicycles, as well as 5,130 square feet of common space for residents, including a rooftop deck.

A multitude of buildings are under construction or have finished construction as part of Santa Clara’s Tasman East Specific Plan, an area where Rockridge Geotechnical has worked on multiple sites. Construction has been completed for a 23-story apartment complex at 2300 Calle de Luna, making this structure the tallest building in Santa Clara. The other six buildings, which range between six and 12 stories in height, will create over 1,500 units of market-rate housing and affordable housing, thousands of square feet of retail space, and amenities such as on-site parking and landscaped open space.
