Adobe North Tower

333 West San Fernando Street, San Jose, CA

The 18-story, 1.3 million-square-foot Adobe North Tower looks to increase Adobe’s already significant presence in downtown San Jose. Along with around 690,000 square feet of office space, the tower will contain at least 2,700 square feet of retail space. An estimated 3,000 employees will work in the tower, which will have on-site parking for around 1,200 vehicles and 150 bicycles in an eight-story garage.

Site Square Footage: 1,300,000 sq. ft.

Date Completed: In Progress (2023)

Client: Adobe

Architect: Gensler

Structural Engineer: Nishkian Menniger

Civil Engineer: Kier & Wright

General Contractor: Devcon

Rockridge Geotechnical (RG) prepared the project geotechnical report and performed construction observation services for the new office tower. Geotechnical challenges for the design and construction of the building included deep excavation and dewatering in an urban setting and providing adequate support for large column loads under both static and seismic conditions. Adobe hopes to move into the tower in early 2023.
