New renderings and building permits were revealed for a six-story affordable housing development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 1701 San Pablo Avenue site in Berkeley. This development will create 110 residential units, with one market-rate unit for the property manager and 109 units of affordable workforce housing for employees of the Berkeley Unified School District and their families. The complex will include on-site parking for cars and bicycles, along with over 5,800 square feet of amenity space. These amenities will include a fitness center, community room, courtyard, and co-working space. The rooftop of the building will also contain solar panels, increasing the environmental friendliness of the project.
