An environmental review has begun for the Heritage on the Marina retirement community at 3400 Laguna Street in San Francisco, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. The development, which has seen a proposed increase in size, would contain 109 care suites, resulting in enough housing for around 120 residents. Parking will be provided for 36 cars and 18 bicycles, and amenities will include an art garden, two courtyards, a rooftop deck, and a welcoming plaza.

Less than two weeks ago, Eden Housing hosted a hard hat tour of the Ruby Street Apartments, which are located at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 22447 Ruby Street in Castro Valley. The 72-unit development will contain 18 units for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, 15 units for veterans, and 10 units for people with disabilities; the remaining units will be affordable for households earning up to 60% of the area median income. Amenities within the complex will include a courtyard, play structures, community gardens, a bike trail, and a community room.

A grand opening for Solaire Apartments, a 130-unit, 100% affordable residential development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 425 Auzerais Avenue site in San Jose, was recently held by Eden Housing. The transit-oriented development is located near Diridon Station, a public transit hub, which should help residents navigate San Jose and neighboring cities. Of the complex’s 130 homes, 64 will be permanent supportive housing units, 64 will be affordable for households earning 50% to 60% of the area median income, and two will be manager’s units.

Structural completion has been achieved for the University High School expansion project at 3150 California Street in San Francisco, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. This project consists of a new centralized three-story building containing a two-story gymnasium, science classrooms, and outdoor space. This 48,000-square-foot complex also hopes to achieve Net-Zero Energy status, and it will include student amenities like a mid-structure courtyard and wide sheltered rooftop terrace.

A Draft Environmental Impact Report for the 26-story, 463-unit development at Rockridge Geotechnical’s 2128 Oxford Street site has been published by the City of Berkeley. The mixed-use complex will also include over 13,000 square feet of retail space, as well as parking for 36 cars and 306 bicycles. The residential units within the building will be geared at students, and 40 of the 463 units will be affordable. Amenities within the complex will include a rooftop deck, which will be furnished with a hot top deck, fireplace, lawn, and outdoor seating for a potential restaurant, along with four other amenity decks on the second and eighth floors.

New renderings have been released for a builder’s remedy proposal at 762 San Antonio Road in Palo Alto, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s sites. This project hopes to bring 198 homes to the site, with 40 of those homes being affordable, as well as a 252-car garage and nearly 13,000 square feet of space for amenities. These amenities would include a landscaped pool deck and an amenity terrace on the seventh floor.

The first two phases of the City Village development at San Ramon’s Bishop Ranch complex have been incredibly successful, as the first 53 single-family and townhome sales have resulted in over $70M in revenue. City Village, which is located at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 2400 Camino Ramon, will eventually be a 404-unit development, consisting of 268 townhomes and 136 single-family homes. Amenities will include an abundance of open space, such as a two-acre public park, turf grass, and outdoor seating with a community barbecue pit. City Village is the first residential component to be delivered of the massive $5 billion CityWalk master plan.

A 105-unit residential project has been proposed at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 3980 El Camino Real in Palo Alto, redeveloping the Buena Vista Village Mobile Home Park and providing replacement housing for residents. The new residential complex would consist of two parcels, with one containing a 61-unit, 100% affordable multifamily apartment complex, while the other would contain a new 44-unit, occupant-owned mobile home park. Both parcels would be converted to 100% electric energy, and new amenities and landscaping would be added as well.
