A new application has been filed for the potential tallest building in Berkeley at Rockridge Geotechnical’s site at 1974-1998 Shattuck Avenue. This 28-story development will create 599 units of housing, along with nearly 17,000 square feet of retail space. Moreover, the complex will include 58 affordable units so that the developer may use Senate Bill 330 and the State Density Bonus program. Other amenities in this tower will include a rooftop restaurant and bar, a second-floor amenity deck, floor-to-ceiling windows, and on-site parking.
