On Tuesday, November 15, California College of the Arts (CCA) will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony at 1111 Eighth Street to celebrate the launch of construction on its campus unification. CCA is moving to one state-of-the-art campus in San Francisco, aiming for completion by 2024, while also closing its Oakland campus. Rockridge Geotechnical completed investigations and consultations for Double Ground, the main campus unification building, and Founders Hall, an on-site student housing complex.

Rosefield Village, a residential development for which Rockridge Geotechnical completed an investigation and consultation, is having its grand opening on Thursday, September 15! The celebration will take place at 727 Buena Vista Avenue in Alameda, and it is being hosted by the Housing Authority of the City of Alameda (AHA).

Habitat for Humanity has proposed a residential development at 101 South Jackson Avenue, one of Rockridge Geotechnical’s San Jose sites. The project aims to complete fourteen new two-story townhomes on the 0.86-acre site by April 2024.

Property developer oWow has decided to convert the usage of the 18-story tower under construction at 1510 Webster in Oakland, a site at which Rockridge Geotechnical completed an investigation. The tower was initially supposed to be mixed-use, providing both residential units and office space; however, increasing vacancy rates and decreasing demand for office space led oWow to convert the tower to solely residential. 1510 Webster will now provide 222 units of housing and no office space.

Our mixed-use Roosevelt Park Apartments development at 21 N. 21^st Street in San Jose has begun construction. The nine-story complex will generate 80 new units of multifamily housing; 20 units will be for permanent supportive housing, 20 units will be designated for rapid rehousing, and the remaining 40 units will be for people earning up to 50% of the area’s median income. These units of housing will be spread across six stories, and two stories will be used for parking while the final story will be used as commercial office space. Roosevelt Park Apartments will also be constructed to achieve LEED Platinum certification.
